Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

暑假里，我去了乡下，带了一只小白兔去。又在山上抓了两只颜色鲜艳美丽的小鸟，准备把它们关在笼子里，当宠物养。一天早晨，我看见两只小鸟在笼子里上窜下跳，我还以为是适应了环境后在玩闹，我一阵高兴。
第二天我看见它们在咬笼子，还以为肚子饿了，我就给它们喂了点食。可食物原地不动，它们好像没看到似的。我不懂了，鸟的葫芦里卖得是什么药？把我弄得一头雾水。渐渐地木头笼子的“护栏”被咬的越来越细，可就是中间的芯咬不断。我忽然明白了，鸟儿是失去了自由，想重新回到大自然的怀抱。可我不舍得，多好看的鸟儿呀！又是我亲手抓住的，还费了我很多精力呢！可我又不忍心看到它们这副样子。鸟儿虽然已经三四天没吃东西了，但是仍不肯向人类低头。这种可贵的精神值得我敬佩。到了下午鸟儿突然安静了下来，好像醒悟了，这是白费力。到了第二天早晨，我急急忙忙去看小鸟，可鸟儿都死了，鸟儿宁死不屈的品质，高昂着头，今我佩服。
